Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
I am currently an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t accept insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. It’s always best to check with your insurance provider to see what out-of-network benefits they offer.
How much does therapy cost?
My session rates vary depending on the type of therapy (individual, couples, or group). I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for those who need financial assistance. Feel free to reach out to discuss options.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy is for anyone who wants to improve their mental well-being, navigate life transitions, or work through challenges. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy—it’s a space for growth, reflection, and support. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or just want a space to process your thoughts, therapy can help.
How long does therapy take?
Therapy is different for everyone. Some people see progress in just a few sessions, while others prefer ongoing support over months or years. The length of therapy depends on your goals, the challenges you're facing, and the pace that feels right for you.
What happens in the first session?
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions about your background, current concerns, and goals for therapy. This is also your chance to ask me anything about the therapy process. It’s normal to feel nervous, but my goal is to create a space where you feel safe and supported.
I’m nervous about starting therapy. Is that normal?
Absolutely! It’s completely normal to feel nervous or unsure about starting therapy. It takes courage to seek support, and I honor that. My role is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered—at your own pace.
